A medely of local grape varieties: Verdanel, Bousysselet, Mauzac Rose and Loin de L’oeil meet macerated Sauvignon and a splash of Vermentino. Direct press for the Mauzac Rose and Loin de L’oeil, 7 days’ on the skins for Sauvignon, and all fermented in egg-shaped concrete, sandstone and oval foudres, then aged for 6 months.

About the winemaker

Nicolas Lebrun and his daughter Marion work a 7.5 ha vineyard surrounded by thick hedgerows near Rabastens in Gaillac, just 2km from the river Tarn on silty sand, deep clay and limestone soils. They champion local varieties, biodynamic viticulture and agroforestry and craft a wide range of wines to suit every mood and season.
