WINE SELECTION

My wine shop is dedicated to artisan wines from Southwest France. It is set in a barn beneath our home and was born organically after moving here and falling in love with the local wines. I select organic, biodynamic and natural wines made with minimal intervention and maximum care by small, independent growers in the vineyards around us and across the region.

Purity and pristine power for this blend of Loin de L’oeil (80%) and Mauzac (20%) vintage 2024.

An intense nose with hints of grilled sesame seeds. A tender and tasty mouth with lively notes of fresh almonds carried by majestic mineral energy.

Whole bunches pressed and fermented by indigenous yeasts in 600l barrels. Aged for 1 year on the lees with regular topping up. No fining. No filtering. Mini-dose of sulfites on bottling.

Aromatic, charismatic Jurançon Sec from the beautiful biodynamic vineyards of Chateau Lafitte. An eloquent wine of profound elegance. Mellow yellow nose. Expansive mouthfeel. Soft southern citrus notes and acacia blossom on tangerine dreams. Amaretti biscuits and scent of beeswax. Intensely juicy palate, slightly smoky and even slightly toasty, yet fresh like the rivers that flow around Monein.

Pair with oysters, fish dishes, Roquefort or goats cheese and country ham.

80 % Petit Manseng, 20 % Gros Manseng. Hand-picked, fermented by native yeasts and aged on fine lees for 9 months in oak barrels. Alc. Vol. 13% Vintage 2022
