About the winemaker
Meet Sebastien Fezas from Domaine Jean Daugé in the Gers. If he hadn’t taken on the family estate in 2019, he’d be an athlete: rugby and volley ball, one foot in the mud and the other on dry land…the man is tall, but better described as lithe and supple through the glass eye of his wines. He works 24 hectares of vines, organically, biodynamically, naturally. Mainly local grape varieties - Gros Manseng, Colombard and Ugni Blanc for his white wines, and beautiful, emblematic Tannat for his red. He collaborates with top winemakers in Jurançon and the Loire, but he also makes his own wines from 2 or 3 hectares, and they are delicious. A real taste of the contemporary Southwest spirit.
