Lias 2023
Purest Mansois from Marcillac, lighter on the palate than Lias 2022, more restrained, but equally tasty. Breathes blackcurrants, foraging for blackberries, leafing through brambles. As you get deeper, it gets cooler. The mouth is fresh and profound, interlaced with fine tannins and leads to a mouthwatering mineral finish. Lias 2023 and 2022: two true terroir wines.
100% Mansois (Fer Servadou) from 70 year-old vines planted in limestone soils at 450m, and aged in demi-muids. 13°

About the Winemaker
Marc Fraysse is a rising star: young, dynamic and devoted to 4ha of vines planted in he steep slopes of his childhood home, a pretty village called Balsac, 14km from Rodez. He created Domaine des Boissieres in 2017 and today, old Fer Servadou (known as Mansois in the Aveyron) rubs shoulders with younger vines including Prunelard and white varieties (Chenin, Ondenc and Roussellous). A winegrower to watch.
