About the winemaker
Duncan grew up at Château de Mayragues, a medieval castle restored by his parents and the first certified biodynamic vineyard in Gaillac. After qualifying as an architect, he returned to focus on the family’s line of fine natural wines: “It’s non-stop, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. If I wanted an easier life, less work and more volume, I could cut down some trees, spray the vines with pesticides and machine-harvest my grapes, but I’m more interested in the life of the soils and the quality and authenticity of my wines.”
