The Basques harvest their grapes like dahus because the slopes are so steep. Half winegrowers, half climbers, they grow grapes on slopes where danger is ever-present.

This heroic viticulture, coupled with a climate heavily influenced by the ocean, is clearly one of the most challenging in the region. When you taste the quality of the wines they produce, it commands respect. There are not many places in France where winemaking is so demanding.

The great Basque terroirs will be present at Contrastes!
